Now that all the games are done, we begin the long journey home. We drove from Denver to Salina, Kansas, over 400 miles. Nothing exciting.
We brought the coupon pages with us from our Star Trek Club and I cut out coupons most of the drive. Members bring in manufacturers coupons from the weekly ads or Sunday papers and Jim sends them to a Naval Base in Japan. http://www.ocpnet.org/
HELP WANTED — bring any coupons that you aren’t using to the studio and we will add them to the collection. They can use them on the base up to six months expired.
Military Emblem Trees
Memorial Day Weekend

Today we are introducing our new military emblem trees. We have purchased decals of the military emblems (similar to those shown but I am not at home to check them out). We are using the same mold that we use for the football and baseball trees.
Nowell 1139 CHRISTMAS TREE & BASE FOR SCENE, 13″, color of tree and
lights will coordinate with the emblem. Finished tree with decal is $50.00.
Please state branch of the service when ordering.

This is the only picture I took today (well, I guess Jim took it for me). Courtney’s baby is coming today so I just couldn’t resist this momma giraffe with her baby. We found it at a truck stop in Oregon. It will make a nice addition to their growing giraffe collection!

Here’s a pic of me with my brother; and a selfie of the four of us as we were leaving. Not being young folks, we were not very adept at taking selfies — kind of reminded us of the old days when my dad would set up the camera on his tripod, set the timer, and run to get in the picture.
I had a phone call one day last year where a mom had found this picture on Etsy and wanted to make one. So she came over with her two little boys and a baby and they made one for their dad for Father’s Day. For some reason I cannot locate that picture to share with you but you get the idea!
