Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. nine enthusiastic painters joined Ruth Ann Jackson Butler here in the studio for an intense workshop learning all about how to use Fashenhues. We painted five pieces: a faux cement cross with rose & barbed wire and a garden stone with flowers & a decal saying (Friday), an eagle head figure and a colorful rainbow trout (Saturday), and a Santa Christmas wreath (Sunday). We had three out-of-town visitors, Tina from West Virginia, Steve and Diane from Elyria; three from our studio, Laura, Sheryl, and Linda; and three Warnekes, Jim, Carol, and Jesse.
Ruth Ann and her husband, Larry, traveled to Ohio from their home in Texas to do the training. Steve and Tina both became Fashenhues dealers as well as certified teachers and picked up their starter kits of supplies while they were here. Carol was already a dealer but took this opportunity to add to her stock as well.
Ruth Ann took pictures of the painters and also of each project which she posted on her page. I have shared the pictures from Friday and Saturday on the Carol’s Carousel Creations page. I am sure that there will be more taken on Sunday which we can post later.
Our Thursday Night Live on Carol’s Carousel Classes has a non-fired class the first week of each month. This Thursday we will be doing a Mother’s Day tree in Fashenhues so tune in at 7:30. We also do classes here in the studio where you can learn to use Fashenhues or have us bring the Party Van to your home or place of business such as nursing homes or day care centers.
