Nursing Homes

We are starting off the New Year by sending letters to nursing homes and assisted living facilities telling them about our party van:

January 1, 2019

Dear Activities Coordinator,

We are now scheduling Party Van dates for our Winter Season – January, February, and March.  Tuesday and Thursday afternoons are preferable as we have classes in the studio on Mondays and Wednesdays. However, we can be flexible with both days and times.

We will bring a ceramic craft to your facility for your residents to make and teach them how to do it. Some projects need to be fired and will be returned the following week; some are stained projects that just need to be sprayed. Most projects are $10 per painter with a $100 minimum per session, usually about two hours. Two of our nursing homes chose to schedule in advance, doing a new project every other month. The residents really look forward to our coming!

Seasonal projects are available, or we can make something more generic ~ January is Snowmen, February is Valentine projects, and March is St. Patrick’s Day. Other Parties

We will also take the van to your meeting place for workshops, birthday parties, bridal showers, or baby showers. We can come to your 4-H or Scout meeting, as long as it is a public facility. Because we use a party cart for the supplies and because Jim is in a power wheelchair, it is difficult to get into most private homes. If your home is handicap accessible we can also come there.
