We are open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings this week from 6:00 to 10:00 AND every weekday evening next week. That’s eight sessions that you can come to. December Bonus is that there is only ONE studio fee each week.

If you have something started, please try and find time to come and get it finished.

Search as I may, I couldn’t find any “Lords” amongst my ceramic molds. So we have these delightful little Clown Candle Climbers. They can “leap” high and low on your tapered candle. Order several pair and make a unique candle grouping for your Christmas mantel or table centerpiece. Only $4.00 per pair in bisque, $15.00 for five pair (10 clowns). You can also combine with any of the following candle climbers. And I remember seeing reindeer candle climbers, as well, but don’t seem to have a picture to show.

Baby’s First Christmas

I cannot take credit for this idea! My son found them in a shop and sent me a picture. You could actually do this with any size tree — maybe a Nightlight Tree? Or even add some ornaments to the Small Spruce Tree?

Glitter Trees

The first photo is mine. It was inspired by one that another ceramist shared online. Hers is  the second photo.  The balls that I found were obviously too big. But I was able to find some smaller ones at the craft store. Next year I hope to improve on this technique. (The loose glitter did make quite a mess but it was fun to do!)

Small Spruce Decorated Tree

The first is a small Sierra Spruce tree done in green glaze with multicolored lights and shown lit us.  Did you know that there are molds for toppers and ornaments for this tree?  I just found the molds! The toppers include an angel (shown), a snowflake, and a teddy bear. There are also twenty really tiny ornaments. These are shown on the second tree (which is glazed the same but not lit up in the photo). I didn’t spend time painting the detail, but rather just did them all in gold and glued them on with a hot glue gun. There are also two bases for this tree; a wooden barrel and a draped base. (When we made the first tree we did not have the base mold.]

Wow! It’s December already.
We only have about three weeks to get all
our decorations and Christmas gifts made.

If you are coming to class once a week, you may not have enough time to get finished.  Here are some ideas:

1. Purchase some bisque-to-go and take it home to paint (You can pick up Apple Barrel paints at Walmart for 50¢ each and a brush set for $4.00)
2. Order a ceramic gift basket for some of the kids on your list. This includes two pieces of bisque, a brush and some paints, and a coupon for a free lesson. (We had some buckets made up for Easter if you recall.)
3. Purchase a gift certificate so your friend can come and paint her own pieces. These can be in any dollar amount you wish to spend.
4. Purchase a finished piece or let us make something especially for your family member or friend. Remember that many pieces can be personalized or painted in colors of their favorite team.
5. Bring someone with you, perhaps one of your kids, to help get your painting done. Or bring them, anyway, and let them make their own gifts. There are many items kids can make that are beautiful gifts.
6. Come to class more often. December Special: $5.00 studio fee gives you all three days of studio time.
7. Don’t forget about our extensive ornament collection. Forty craft drawers are full of ornaments that you can paint here or take home. Give each person on your gift list an ornament. Perhaps tie it into the bow on a package. If you make the flat corky cookie cutter ornaments, they are flat on the back and you can write a message or use it as a name tag.

If you need something poured in time for Christmas,
you must order it right away.
We will do our best to fill everyone’s orders.
Remember that multiple orders of the same piece 
take multiple days to pour.
