WEBSITE
There is also our webpage www.CarolsCarouselCreations.com
The blog is sporadic, sometimes daily and then not for several weeks, depending on what is going on in the shop.
However, the CATALOG should be pretty much up to date. Note that CAROUSELS and AFRICAN-AMERICAN KIDS are separate tabs on the menu bar. Everything else should be in the main catalog. Click to get a Table of Contents with active links or pull down for catalog structure hierarchy.
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE STUDIO
As many of you already know, Jim and Carol have both been fighting whatever bug is going around for the last couple of months. A couple of Z-packs and a myriad of other allergy medications have helped to lesson the symptoms. Classes were closed down all last week. Feeling much better but things are still going in slow motion.
African-American Kids is a subdivision of Carousel Creations. We have both a Facebook page for up-to-date information and an Etsy store where you can actually order bisque or finished pieces. We are keeping busy with orders of both kinds, the Jazz Band being the most popular. So far we have just been doing the Etsy store but hope to take pieces to craft shows and do workshops.
Carol’s Carousel Shop is another dubdivision of Carousel Creations. We also have a Facebook page and an Etsy store. The Music Box size animals go on the carousel and we are in the process of acquiring molds for the entire set, including accessory pieces. We also have larger and smaller carousel pieces.Carol’s Carousel is what people affectionately call the ceramic studio. This sign has actually become a bulletin board with photos of our first classes. We have occasional Workshops, where a new technique is taught for a fixed price which includes everything.
Open Class is when students come and work on whatever they want for a $5 studio fee plus bisque. Even if there is a workshop in progress, students can work on their own if not interested.
The Party Van is what we call our van when we slap on the magnetic signs, load up the red cart with supplies, and bring it all to you. Thus far, we usually go to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. However, we can also go to your home, school, or church as long as it is handicapped accessible.
So that’s a quick update. We will hopefully be able to keep up the blog on a more regular basis. Please remember to “follow” the page and you will get the blog via email. When updates are made to the catalog, there is always mention of it in the blog with links to the page.
